hello there,
i am starting out with big ambitions of using an anamorphic lens. i have a super 8 camera with a c-mount lens thread(also a nice lens)but i want to film a landscape of
rolling mountains.Naturally, a wide scope
(anamorphic lens)view would i asume be good for that sort of thing.Of couse i would need
a lens for both filmming and projection
(one in both). The problem lies in unsertanty
of the sturdiness of the projector lens.
i have an elmo 1200(not a GS serise)and a F1.3 lens(plastic lens outer ring)
Has anyone ever tried a set-up using using a
projector like this with a F1.3 main lens and
any typ of scope/lens w/lens bracket attachment? What were your results?, if any.
than you for reading my questions.

Let me get this correct you want to project with an Anamorphic lens, yes. The lens does not need to be in physical contact with the projector lens, it is usually held as close to the projector lens as possible. A stand with a bracket to hold the "A" lens in front usually is an upright pole with a ring that holds the anamorphic, by means of tightening screws, these can be made to order from S.R.B. Film services in the U.K. hope this helps.

Absolutely correct. My Kowa 2x anamorphic can be held in front of the f1.0 lens in the GS1200 on a contraption of plates, brackets and rods. Horrible. I made up a bracket that supports it from a tapped thread on the GS's body - much nicer.
tom.
